I wish I had read all these negatives reviews before I hired this company. I only trusted them because they were referred by PODS. When I was shopping around, the coordinator, Lance, was so friendly and quick to return my calls, but now I realized that there is a huge difference in their customer service before and after.
Now I understand why they charge $75 just to cancel their service even though I called them 2weeks prior to my scheduled date.
Once the job was done and I had issues with the job that they did, I had to call several different people just to get Lance to call me back. Go figure!!!
Anyways, two guys showed up on 5/24/18. I explained to them about some fragile boxes are to be loaded on top. (They should know this, right? ) Later, I found a box of Tiffany glass lamp shades under the TV stand. I kept my cool and I immediately got it out and moved it to the top space (yes, there was a spot for it but they thought it would be ok to put the glass lamp shades under it). That should have been my first red flag which I ignored. Because they were supposed to be professional movers.
Then, they were putting boxes on top that were pretty loose. SO I TOLD the guys that they needed to be tied tight so they don’t fall off in transit. (the second red flag),
Finally they loaded the very heavy mattress on top of the footboard and the headboard last. I didn’t even think about them shifting forward at that time so I didn’t ask the guys to tie them tight this time. Because they were supposed TO KNOW how to do those things.
Anyways, the mattress ended up shifting forward and it got stuck as I opened the door of PODS. I called Lance but it took a while for him get back to me.
I demanded (I was sooo pissed off by then) that they need to come back to fix it but Austin (customer service) pretty much blamed me for not reminding them to use the rope and then why I signed it off if I weren’t satisfied with the job they did.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I didn’t know I was supposed to tell them how to load when it IS THIER JOB to do it.
I am sooo furious and pissed off of their poor, unprofessional, once I get your money, I don’t care service.
Please STAY AWAY from this company. I will surely call PODS to let them know not to refer this company EVER AGAIN. AND will take a further action.
