Unprofessional on all accounts
***AVOID OF THIS COMPANY***
We hired Pack and Load to pack household and load two 16ft PODS. This company employed layers of misrepresentations and unprofessional behavior to take advantage of customers in several instances in our experience alone.
Save yourself a lot of money and just hire local day-laborers because that is what you're going to get.
1) Stated "professional loaders and packers will help you with your move." False. The guys who arrived clearly (by their own admission) had very little experience packing. Would have been fine if all was asked of them was loading, but they were basically unskilled day laborers and packed accordingly:
1.a) Did not complete just about any room; drawers, closets, lamps left untouched. Left with the job only about 75% complete leaving my family to spend the next several days completing it.
1.b) Did not pack just about anything properly; just set stacks of dishes in boxes unprotected, threw dishes in, did not protect furniture, boxes were overflowing or underfilled.
1.c) Left their food and trash all over the house when they left
1.d) Pack and Load assured that (in the COVID pandemic) all staff will wear masks.
Loaders arrived with no masks on or in possession (I had to go to Walgreens and buy them masks). Then all day they kept taking them off (including around my young children) and having to be reminded to please put them back on.
1.e) On their cell phones making personal calls constantly throughout the day.
1.f) Pack and Load did not call the day before the job to confirm and showed very little interest in understanding the magnitude of the job / staffing appropriately.
2) Stated "you will only get billed for packing material used." False.
They brought very little packing material (so I had to go to Home Depot and buy them more). Refused to fill out the used material survey at the end of the day, asking me to initial blank line items then saying "Oh I'll fill the form in later." Sure enough, claimed they had used all materials on the estimate when, for example, I know zero mirror/window boxes were brought to the job (still got charged $500 for it).
3) Pack and Load calls to check in on the job, which is great but when issues were brought to the attention of customer service over email and phone, we were promptly ghosted with no emails back or calls back (despite several rounds of leaving voicemail requests).

Damaged my walls and then said they were leaving
I have a heavy and large couch to me moved from my basement. I made it very clear my walls could not be damaged and they told me if they couldn’t do it without damaging the couch or walls, they wouldn’t move it at all.
It made it down the stairs 4 years ago with minimal scrapping by my husband and his brother who are not professionals or strong enough. So naturally, the 3 guys from pack and load scrapped up the walls, put *** in the wall, and damaged the couch. When I got upset about it, they said they were leaving because “they clearly weren’t good enough for me”. The company tried to call us both and have his guys stay, but in the process one of them broke the foot of my nightstand so I asked them to leave.
The company is awful with customer service and said they would mail me a claim form TO THE HOUSE IM MOVING OUT OF. ***
